This story is about Ukrainian stories, about the Mavoks who lived in the forests and bewitched the guys who came to the lake at night. They fell in love with themselves and beckoned. The girls came out of the water half-dressed in long embroidered shirts, and took the guy with them to the depths of the lake, later in the morning the guy was found drowned or they disappeared. The story about the Mavok is beautifully told by our poet Lesya Ukrainka. These girls are beautiful from the front, but they don’t have a body in the back, their intestines are visible.
This mystical legend makes you think, and despite its tragedy, it beckons you to study it and describe it in your work.
